Obituary of Richard C. Bode

Richard Bode

November 10th 1953 - August 30th 2018

Richard was predeceased by his wife, Barbara Bode and his parents William and Joyce Bode. He is survived by his daughter, Kerry Bode; sister, Melinda Davis and her family; brother, Thomas Bode and his family; sister, Mary Joan Bode and her family; Roxanne Becker and her family; Navy buddy, Ronald Brown " Brownie" and many dear friends.

Richard's adult life had its beginnings taking care of his own family farm as well as tractor driving for his neighbors. After school he began a job at a gas station where he met his wife, Barbara. He later enlisted into the Navy where he got to become the Admiral Head Chef on the USS Kitty Hawk. He was lucky to never have seen battle but did get to travel to very exotic places. After being discharged he and his wife brought a daughter, Kerry Bode into the world and created a life as a loving husband and father, while continuing his passion as a baker.

Please come join us in the celebration of Richard's life at Miller's Funeral Home and Cremation Services of VICTOR (310 West Main Street, Victor NY 14564) on FRIDAY (September 7th) from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.  Richard’s graveside service will be celebrated on SATURDAY (September 8th) at 10:00 AM in Saint Patrick’s Cemetery (High Street, Victor NY).
